Description: (Amazon.co.uk Review) Incanto is the first studio album from Italian operatic star Andrea Bocelli since 2006's Amore, stop-gapped of course by the following year's Vivere. Now 20 albums deep and heading for 70 million sales worldwide, there doesn't seem to be much Bocelli can do wrong, though perhaps key to his success is his refusal to rest on his laurels--to always present a considered and varied selection of material. On Incanto he again offers a well-selected mix of folk songs, operatic evergreens, and musical hits. Opening with a stunning collaboration with singer Veronica Berti on “Un Amore Cosi Grande" (“A Love So Great"), the album gets off to an impassioned start. A romantic thread is weaved through “O Surdato Nnammurato", Cesare Andrea Bixio's “Mamma", and “Voglio Vivere Cosi", while album highlights include Neopolitan classic “Santa Lucia" and the 19th-century folk song “Funiculi Funi! cula"--an ode to the first funicular on Mount Vesuvius. Add to that the soaring “Because" and the sweeping “Era De Maggio" (featuring Anna Bonitatibus), and you have what is arguably Bocelli's best collection since Romanza. --Danny McKenna

Details: I was disappointed in this one. I have at least 8 other cd's of his, but this one was not the same.

Details: Shipment was very fast - music and vocals are wonderful. I could not resist. I just had to join in. Bocelli has a superb voice.

Details: I LOVE BOCELLI BUT WAS NOT HAPPY WITH THIS TYPE OF MUSIC TOO "HEAVY" FOR ME

Review Summary: Guess it helps to be grey haired and Italian Date: 2009-01-04

Details: Well, After having read all the reviews and listened to the tunes available I still got the CD and I am glad. I guess you have to be grey-haired (I'm 60 and I grew up listening to Como sing these songs) and Italian (I'm only 1/2 Italian, I make a mean Sunday Gravy with Meatballs). Music, like beauty, is in the eyes (or ears in this case) of the beholder!
all the best

Review Summary: What a disappointed from a star! Date: 2008-12-28

Details: was given as a gift because I "was" a fan of Mr. Bocelli. Soehow, his music in this CD sounds like any tenor singing Italian songs. I guess it's only for Opera folks.
I missed the heart and soul of his in this CD. This CD is quite a distance from Vivere. People now tend to buy this CD because of his name and it seems to me like he only sings to show off his voice in this one.
Speaking of the voice, I prefer the tenor Russell Watson in "The Voice".
They sang a same song in these 2 CDs so you can compare for yourself.
I think older folks would like this CD for nostalgy. I am 40 but I don't care to listen to the end of this CD. This is why I wrote I was a fan of him, not "am" any more.
