Review Summary: Engaging and powerful Date: 2008-03-19

Details: Drew me in from the start. Ended up opening the book and reading it through in two hours without leaving my seat. Accesible read with down-to-earth language while totally engaging and thought provoking. As a preacher and teacher I am using it in many ways.

Review Summary: Worth the Read, but Not At The Top of the List Date: 2007-08-24

Details: Good sound thought in this book, especially her call for Christian action rather than Christian thought, words and piety...

Not exactly a thought provoking, invigorating book, but worth the read nonetheless.

Good, but not her best---and she is really, really good!!

Review Summary: Speaking of Sin Date: 2007-05-19

Details: We used this book for a study group at my church. It is beautifully written, lucid, challenging, and evoked meaningful discussion.

Review Summary: Some of it is very helpful Date: 2006-01-31

Details: This book has a very good and insightful exploration of the meanings of sin and of repentance. Barbara Brown Taylor is right to remind us that if we forget what "sin" means, then words like "grace" and "salvation" will become hollow soon after. On that part this book gets 5 stars. Unfortunately, aside from a few passing references, she doesn't do a good job of explaining the Biblical teaching of what Jesus has to do with any of this. While somewhat ambiguous, she seems to take a "Jesus shows us the way" position; which is true, but is not the whole Biblical truth of "Jesus is the way". So on this part I give her only one star. At any rate, this is a very well-written book that will probably be helpful to all sorts of Christians, but I recommend it with reservations.

Review Summary: Christ is Coming Back Soon. Repent and Change. Date: 2005-11-10

Details: Christ hates sin and He wants you to make it to Heaven and the only way for that to happen is if you obey the Ten Commandments Read your Bible, and place your trust in Him (Jesus Christ).
In the End times, never take the Mark of the Beast or else you will go to Hell. The mark of the Beast time will be a time in where the Devil in the flesh will rule this Earth. So in order to make it to Heaven and have Immortal and eternal life, You have to Follow Christ.

How do i get saved?

1. Pray alot for yourself, and ask for Forgiveness.

2. You admit and believe in your mind, heart and soul that Jesus Christ is the Son Of God.

3. Pray for the poor and do something for the poor.

4. Don't hate anyone, leave them alone. Don't wish anyone any bad things to occur to them.

5. Pray and Pray and Pray. I also recommend any books on Joy Lamb, like a book titled, "The Sword of the Spirit, The Word of God."

Books i recommend to you is the following:

1.How to avoid Hell by Friar Schouppe. 2.As well as reading,"
The sword of the spirit, the Word of God" by Joy Lamb.
3. Also recommended to read King James Version Christian Bible.
4. Always go to Church, or Pray at Home.

Repent of your sins and live a clean life as well as believing in Christ-- is Key for Eternal Salvation.
