With candor and insight, Tony Campolo passionately hits on hot button issues that impact the Christian life, including how to: protect yourself from technology without becoming Amish; have a devotional life without becoming a monk, and figure out the will of God without hearing voices from Heaven.
Details: For all those folks who are tried of the garbage that relgious dogma spouts, Campolo gives a fresh look at subjects that have deep meaning for the individual and give practical application for the life of the individual and the church. It is a great look at cultural Christianity and its flaws.

Review Summary: Tony

Details: This guy seems to have implied that he authored the Shel Silverstein poem "Listen to the Musn'ts" in one of his lectures to a youth event. That's the way it seemed to me.
Nontheless he stands out as a moderate in a sea of right-wing fundamentalists. I credit him with that much.
"We've met the enemy and they are partly right" was a great book.
Review Summary: A Must Read for Christians
Date: 2000-08-07
Details: I can't imagine any Christian reading this book and not feeling challenged. Campolo does a great job of pointing out the many things that Christians do that almost certainly embarrass God, but he doesn't stop there. Along with showing some ways Christians probably shouldn't act, he gives some very practical guidelines for how we should act. It hits a little close to home sometimes, but who said we're supposed to be comfortable all the time?
Review Summary: This book will give you freedom to be a real Christian!
Date: 1999-10-03
Details: This is one of the most straight forward, honest, real looks at the church, christianity and life I have ever read. It made me laugh, cry, and review my perspectives on life.
