Review Summary: a much-needed, rare book |

Details: I searched high and low to find a book on female sexuality (not just sex "how-to," or how not to!) written from a Christian perspective. I was delighted to find this book, and even more appreciative when I read it. The authors present a well-rounded look at an important topic. Too bad it's out of print.... |

Review Summary: Great help and understanding of Female Sexuality |

Details: I found this book to be extremely helpful in identifying and confirming the needs and expectations women have of intimate relations. It was also helpful in recognizing the specific things which limit or quelch desire for women. I really appreciated the advice for optimal lifestyles for those going through PMS or Menopause. Truly a book worth having for your reference library! |

Review Summary: mellibot's review is biased |

Details: I thought that this book was amazing. Mellibot is a feminist, so of course she thinks that this book is "propaganda." This book has excellent advice and information for women and for men. The fact is, true fulfilling sex comes only with a committed marital relationship, just like God has always told us. He knows best for us. ... which is better, to trust your own self-centered ideas, or to trust the God who created you? May Christ be glorified in this book. |

Review Summary: A Long-Overdue, Christian Book on Female Sexuality |
Date: 2002-05-18 |

|
Details: I have read several Christian books which give a general overview on how male and female relational, emotional and physical needs differ. Usually only one chapter is devoted to sex, and then the attention is focused on the activity of marital sex itself rather than the broader subject of male/female sexuality. In this book, Hart provides the feminine counterpart to his earlier, masculine work, "The Sexual Man." This book has a strong Christian perspective, and the author makes no apologies for it. In fact, one of the main reasons Hart wrote this work is to give an accurate treatment of CHRISTIAN female sexuality, which differs in several ways from secular treatments of the same topic. Reading this book will enhance your marriage, and will be especially helpful if you have a Christian marriage. It will also be a tremendous asset if you are single. This work isn't just for women -- it is a work ABOUT women, for women as well as for men. Get it, read it, and see the improvement God brings in your life! |
