For centuries, humans have dreaded—and anticipated-- the end of the world. These fears— fueled by natural disasters, famines, world wars, and the writings of people like Nostradamus and Jeane Dixon—have left us with more questions than answers. In The Complete Idiot’s Guide® to the Last Days, Richard H. Perry goes to the definitive source on the subject: the Bible itself.
• While the book is as exciting as an action/adventure novel, the author’s primary source is the Bible, and he guides his readers to an understanding of the Last Days by using related Scripture • Covers Bible basics and the Signs of the Times • Includes timelines of every stage leading up to the Last Days and after
Review Summary: Scripture backing Scripture with Scripture
Date: 2008-09-19
Details: This is a great book on the time of the end and has serious reference back and forth from OT and NT. You will not find a more convincing argument to Post-Tribulation rapture than this. Mr. Perry takes the dispensational theory and Biblically breaks it apart. This is a must read for any Bible student and theologian.

Details: This book is a wonderful guide through the prophecies of the bible. Everyone who studies the bible understands that the prophecies are very difficult to understand correctly, and this book helps you through the toughest sections of the greatest book ever written and shows you where to cross reference the old and new testaments.
Review Summary: He adds to scripture
Date: 2008-06-11
Details: On page 124 of his book he lists Daniel 7:23-24 and its quote which starts "The Fourth Beast Kingdom will rise to power during Day 6...."
I have checked seven different Bible translations (NIV, King James, etc.) and not one mentions "Day 6".
Day 6 seems to have been literally inserted by the book's author to make his ideas seem biblical.
Didn't anyone at "Idiot's" check these Bible quotes before the book was published?
Once I realized he was changing scripture to "prove" the correctness of his timeline, I stopped reading.
Review Summary: Excellent Book true to the Word!

Details: Well written and easy for anyone to understand. Organized religion is way off. You need to read the Bible. Richard points out the true facts not Myths.
Review Summary: Complete Idiot's guide to the Last Days

Details: There is no perfect church denomination, or congregation, nor is this book perfect. There are several gaffes, such as the statement that Jacob (Israel) had ten sons. In fact, he had twelve. Looking beyond those minor glitches, Richard Perry has written the most well thought out book on the Day of the Lord (Which is NOT the sabbath), including Revelation, that I can remember reading. I thought so highly of it that I ordered four more copies which I gave to my (adult) children.
