Details: I read this book after being referred by a friend.
It was great, I had never really thought about a reward. Just eternal life and everyone getting the same reward. But I can see God's love in everyone who goes to heaven getting eternal life and all, but some get extra rewards.

Details: I'm the sort of person who reads books, tape-flags the websites and/or quotes within them, and posts those websites / quotes to del.icio.us or my to various blogs. Here's an example of some text I recently tape-flagged for Bruce Wilkinson's A Life God Rewards: "Jesus showed that although good works are useless to get anyone into heaven, they still matter."
A "tape" of mine (to use terminology from <[...]>) is that "God's Will *will* be done so it doesn't matter what I do." ...The best lie is close to the Truth and Wilkinson's quote is good medicine for me with regard to the aforementioned (~close~ to the Truth) tape. Yes, God's Will *will* be done....AND....my actions matter. Dropping a ball (inaction) and throwing a ball (action) may still result in a ball on the ground; the difference is distance. ...Or, to take the analogy further, throwing the ball (action) would make (an unseen to me) catcher's job easier; dropping it would not...
All of this is to say that what Wilkinson said was good medicine for me, a person with a Calvinistic background that I just can't seem to shake. That same medicine may not be good for someone else. So, *looks at naysayers*, maybe Wilkinson's Bible-based book wasn't medicine for you, but that doesn't invalidate it.
