Details: I read this book some years ago and she is so full of it. Hell is the total absence of God, therefore, it is total darkness, solitary confinement, mental and emotional torture as well as feeling physical pain. You are totally alone, with no one for company, including any demons. Think of what the opposite of God is. God is feeling great emotionally and physically. God is Light (Jesus is the light of this world), God is love. Jesus spoke much more about hell than he did about heaven. Picture youself for eternity, never ending in solitary confinement with only your conscience and memories without the pain. That would be bad enough and that in itself would be hell. Deliberate rejection of Christ Jesus' sacrifice for us is what puts one in hell. If a person wishes to deny there is a god and wants nothing to do with God, then hell is their final destiny. They put themselves there. Even though we're in the "end times", I don't believe this woman had a true vision with Jesus. He doesn't operate that way. It is true that hell is referred to as in the "heart of the earth" and indeed today it is. But the new hell after this earth is destroyed will be at some far far away place from where God is in outer space I imagine. At any rate, I don't believe her. It seems more likely to me that her vision came from a demon than from a heavenly being. A very good book to read is "The Tragedy of Hell and How to Escape it". You can get it at Amazon.com. |

Details: I remember reading this not long after it came out. I ate it up! It took me a few years to conclude that it was all her fertile imagination. I agree with another review posted here that asserts that the "Jesus" of Baxter's so-called "revelation" bears little to no resemblance to the Jesus of the Bible or traditional church teaching. I think this "revelation" can be safely ignored. As a telling side-note, has anyone else noticed her "A Divine Revelation of..." series of books? Looks like she started herself a franchise along the lines of "Chicken Soup For The (fill in the blank) Soul"!! Sounds like money might be the big revelation here. |

Details: And I know books! I saw some of what she describes and believe the book to be 100% true. I dont ever want to read it again, but everyone should read it at least once. Thank you Mary and Jesus for this revelation, I am saved now because of it, and so are many of my family! |

Details: Im sorry, but reading a lot of these reviews compelled me to add my two cents. I was particularly amused with the controversy and disparity in the wide range of perspectives and flat out emotions this book seems to be creating. When seen objectively its inspiring to realize each and every one of these comments is a MIND at work, with it's own values, morals, intellect, and motivation. It's also easily understandable that the reason this book has caused such a reaction among people, is the simple fact it strikes at the very core of humans free will and ability to choose.
On the one side you have those who realize that "common sense" dictates that what is written in this book has logically have to be true, for I do not believe that anyone could come up with such horrible accounts of the torments of Hell, even going as far as quoting things the Lord has said and instructed, if it was a majestically huge LIE. That person would not only have to be accountable to our Lord for the things she herself wrote, but also be in danger of even suffering those very same torments she describes or worse, having written this book as just the means for monetary gain. A person is either motivated by God, or by Satan. Ms Baxter's book obviously cannot be the work of the Devil, for this book motivates people away from sin and emphasizes "REPENTANCE" (a change of mind towards sin), which is hardly ever preached these days at the pulpit. Churches these days are promoting a "watered down version" of the Gospel making people believe that God doesn't really care so much about our SIN, he just wants us to 'believe' in him; in doing so, true repentance, and a real desire to strive for HOLINESS become unnecessary, and people get on the bullet train to HELL! I for one absolutely know she is a hand maiden of God and wish her message does what it is intended. May God bless her ministry and save millions of souls from Satan and his evil lies.
Now comes the 'other' side of the coin, the "illogical thinkers" who not only attack Ms Baxter by considering themselves of far superior intellect, but by claiming her account has no bearing whatsoever with Biblical Truth. Let me tell you something, those who claim her book strays from the Bible, clearly comes to show you with utter certainty how deceived these "minds" really are, for her book, and general message throughout the Holy Scriptures is one and the same, "THE SOUL WHO SINS WILL DIE"! The fact that so many here attack her is evident proof of the "SPIRIT OF THIS WORLD" working through them. People are so utterly deceived and blinded by the sin in their life, that they simply do not want to hear of such a place, or even realize the consecuences for their sin. The fact that so many of those who say this book is not of God refer people back to the Bible, comes to show you the complete spiritual blindness of their heart, for Mary's book is littered with scriptural Truth!
I also noticed that certain comments posted here regarding so-called 'elloquent intellectual' explanations about Hell and it's different names like the 'grave', 'sheol', or 'gehenna' and their own reasoning behind how this book is perverting the character of God by associating him with eternal punishment, are clearly the mind and blindness of a "Jehova Witness" at work, it's no wonder they make such comments for their theology does not believe hell is a literal place; they themselves believe when you die the soul ceases to exist. Oh how wrong they will 'all' soon find themselves to be!
A powerful book is soon coming that will put an end to all worldy controversy concerning the concept of "ABSOLUTE TRUTH", it will magnify and glorify the "WORD OF GOD" beyond measure, proving quite clearly to this earth that the wisdom of the world is mere foolishness with God! It will bring the scientists, physicists, and philosophers of this world into total submission and subjection to GOD'S HOLY WORD changing the whole entire earth, and utterly fulfilling several biblical prophecies including DANIEL 2:34-35:
"Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces. Then was the iron, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth."
This book will establish "ABSOLUTE TRUTH" and cause the scientific community and hedonistic unbelieving world to follow after the Bible with more reverence and Godly fear than all these so-called PHd theologians who water down the True Gospel and make the Word of God of none effect through their tradition, after the comandments and doctrines of men! In other words, the literal 'BLIND LEADERS OF THE BLIND'. Mary Baxter even describes it in her very own book. "THE SON OF RIGHTEOUSNESS SHALL ARISE WITH HEALING IN HIS WINGS AND SHALL TREAD DOWN THE WICKED, AND THEY SHALL BE ASHES UNDER THE SOLES OF HIS FEET" pg 141. This book will bring total and absolute fulfillment to Psalms 18:43:
"Thou hast delivered me from the strivings of the people; and thou hast made me the head of the heathen: a people whom I have not known shall serve me. As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me: the strangers shall submit themselves unto me. The strangers shall fade away and be afraid out of their close places. The LORD liveth and blessed be my rock and let the God of my salvation be exalted. It is God that avengeth me and subdueth the people under me. He delivereth me from mine enemies: yea, thou liftest me up against those who rise up agaisnt me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man. Therefore will I give thanks unto thee, O LORD among the heathen, and sing praises unto thy name. Great deliverance giveth he to his king; and showeth mercy to his anointed, to David and to his seed for evermore."
This is the very beginning of that GREAT ARMY spoken about in Mary's book that will rise out of the land and do GREAT WORKS FOR GOD; the same army described in the book of JOEL. People do not let yourselves be swayed or confused by the negative comments of these "deceived minds" concerning this book, you owe it to yourself to read it, meditate upon it, and realize that a Hell is for eternity, and the only way to avoid it is to bring ourselves to total obedience and subjection to GOD'S HOLY WORD. We are in a huge spiritual war, and the obviously clear battle ground for the souls of men, is the HUMAN MIND!
AWAKE people and open your 'SPIRITUAL EYES' to the truth and be saved. Seek the LORD dilligently with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength through HIS WORD, and absolutly realize that the clear and obvious fact about man's sinful nature, is that only THE TRUTH SHALL MAKE YOU FREE!!!
