Review Summary: Not essential if you have previous Bible knowledge

Details: For anyone who has studied the Bible before, this book is definitely not an essential. I bought it hoping it would simplify the things that a surface reader struggles to get: complicated maps, Israelite territories, diagram of the tabernacle, etc. It had none of that. Every time I opened it hoping it had a map of something in my reading, it didn't go as far as I wanted it to. It truly is just a surface supplement to The Bible in 90 Days. It has a Cliff's Notes approach to each book of the Bible and only uses a one-page spread for each Bible book, no matter how long or complicated that book was as I was reading.
The photographs are interesting. I did enjoy those.
It's not a bad book and useful if you need the basic summary of things as you go, but I didn't find it to be essential or worth the money I paid for it.

Details: WOW! I just received this book. It is awesome. What a great and awesome companion to the Bible. The pictures and maps are great and very interesting. I loved teh intro and preface. If you don't already have this book get it. It makes good reading before and during your Bible study.
