Description: What if you could have been there the night of Christ's birth? Or the day of His baptism? What would it have been like to sit at His feet while He taught the people the sinners, the children, the apostles? What would the sky have looked like over Gethsemane? Photographer Mark Mabry re-creates authentic, meridian-of-time scenes using both full-color and black-and-white photographs. This first-of-a-kind book showcases twenty-five scenes of the life of Christ. From the Nativity to His miracles to His death and resurrection, these unique portrayals, accompanied by New Testament scripture, offer a powerful witness of the Lord Jesus Christ. Included in the book are behind-the-scenes author notes, providing readers with an intimate glimpse into the making of each photograph. Stunning and sacred, Reflections of Christ is an ideal coffee-table book that is filled with images that millions of people have already experienced and grown to love. It is a book that Christian families will be proud to have in their homes.

Review Summary: Beautiful-more inspired by the choie of scenes and text
Date: 2008-11-23
Details: The pictures are cool. Lots of them are very beautiful. Like I mentioned in the title...I'm a bigger fan of the selection of scenes and the text. Great coffee table book.
If I have any issue with it, it's just that the pics are too perfect...I'm not a fan of the computer generated stuff. Especially for this genre.
It was very well done...very artistic, but I'm a bigger fan of less "shine."
Still...very worthwhile. Uplifting. I would not hesitate to give this as a gift. I enjoy my copy.
Review Summary: A Spiritual Journey On Christ's Ministry In Breathtaking Imagry!!!!
Date: 2008-11-09
Details: For the Christmas season, we get this amazing photographic montage of Christ's ministry. The images of Mark's work are breathtaking. In the introduction, Gary tells us how he came to create these miraculous, soul-stirring images and at the back of the book, he describes each photograph and how each came to be and the comments from the individuals he used as to their feelings. Gary has music to go with this book and his exhibit is on display throughout the country. This is a book that would make a great coffee table book.
Review Summary: Touching and evocative representations of the life of Jesus
Date: 2008-10-26
Details: Having seen some of the images from this book on the internet I was delighted to have the book for my home. I bought the book for one picture...the one of Jesus and John the Baptist. I love the utter joy on Christ's face. Joy is what we miss sometimes and joy is what it is all about. This book has already been passed around my family and we love it. I love the photographer's journey as well. Following promptings that took him out of the mainstream into the strait and narrow isn't easy but it sure is worth it. Love the book.
