Description: New in the “addicting” New York Times bestselling series featuring Sookie Stackhouse.
After the natural disaster of Hurricane Katrina and the manmade explosion at the vampire summit, everyone—human and otherwise—is stressed, including Louisiana cocktail waitress Sookie Stackhouse, who is trying to cope with the fact that her boyfriend Quinn has gone missing.
It’s clear that things are changing—whether the weres and vamps of her corner of Louisiana like it or not. And Sookie—Friend to the Pack and blood-bonded to Eric Northman, leader of the local vampire community—is caught up in the changes.
In the ensuing battles, Sookie faces danger, death, and once more, betrayal by someone she loves. And when the fur has finished flying and the cold blood finished flowing, her world will be forever altered.

Review Summary: decent, but.... |

Details: The complexity in which Charlaine Harris's books had seem to be lacking in "From Dead To Worse." Althought, it's 300-something pages, it seemed a bit light. However, I was happy about the end of the story when a new character was introduced. I'm sure Mrs. Harris will have a great time conjuring more complex storylines for this younger character.
Other than that, I can't complain about the book and can't wait for the next one. |

What fun! A great read, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Details: As with the previous seven Sookie Stackhouse novels, this is also a "page-turner". Once I start, I literally can't put it down. Things are heating up between Sookie and Eric, and I do wish they would get together again. Maybe the new book due out in May will fulfill my wishes in this regard. As for Bill, it's easy to feel sorry for him (and for Quinn, too), but I think in the end, Eric and Sookie are the true soul mates, even if Eric won't admit it. Try it, you'll like it. But start at the beginning with "Dead Until Dark." |
