Description:
In his first book in five years, Michael Moore brings us the definitive guide to the 2008 election.

After a diastrous war, the failure to catch bin Laden, millions of families who have lost their homes, the Katrina debacle, soaring gas prices feeding record oil company profits, and the largest national debt caused by the biggest spending and borrowing administration in American history, the country has had it with conservatives, right-wingers and Republicans. A thrilling election season is now upon us. Obama vs. McCain. One candidate has promised a presidency different from any other, one that will take us forward to embrace the hope of the 21st century. The other candidate says he has no idea how to use a computer.

Welcome to MIKE'S ELECTION GUIDE -- Michael Moore's effort to make sense of the this fall's race for the White House and Congress. In it, Moore answers the nation's most pressing questions: "Why is John McCain so angry?,""Do the Democrats Still Drink from a Sippy Cup and Sleep with the Light On?," Can I get into the Electoral College with only a 2.0 gpa?" and "How many Democrats does it take to lose the most winnable election in American history?"

It's a great year to be an American and a voter. Don't miss out on all the fun! And don't miss out on MIKE'S ELECTION GUIDE -- it's the indispensable book that belongs in every American's back pocket this season.

Review Summary: Expecting more Date: 2008-11-20

Details: The book is amusing enough, and it does have a lot of facts, but I just wasn't thrilled with it. I adore my friend Michael, but I was a little disappointed,

Review Summary: very funny look at the election Date: 2008-11-08

Details: Michael Moore takes a look at the current election and gives advise about how Barack Obama could win (which he obviously did)and answers questions about the U.S. Government (the one about the hanging chad cracked me up) and also what we should do with Bush on Jan. 20, 2009 (he thinks a purp.walk would be appropriate)

All in all a very funny, entertaining, fast read

Review Summary: Should be called "I Hate America" Date: 2008-11-08

Details: I chose to review the man. Marxist, racist, makes American soldiers look like butchers. His "movies" are half truths at best. He has one agenda, and that is himself. This is done by using the fact that americans are too damn lazy to research anything, so they use him to get their opinions. If he hates this country so much, why does he not leave? Oh yea, we have made him millions, which is truly all he cares about.

Review Summary: Wonderful, informative and very funny! Date: 2008-10-24

Details: I ordered the book on tape version and found it to be 100% worth the price! Not only is the book very informative and funny, but the fact that he read the book himself on the book-on-tape version made it all the better!! Even non-liberals will find humor and common sense in Moore's latest work!

Review Summary: Good election advice Date: 2008-10-24

Details: Not as funny as some of his other books, but more directly and immediately usable.
