Description: This book appeals for a holistic Christian approach to the stewardship of creation. It seeks common ground between the commitment to social justice within third-world liberation theologies and the environmental consciousness characteristic of eco-feminist theologies. Gnanadason begins her study with concrete examples of the struggles of Indigenous peoples, and especially women, to preserve traditions of prudent care for the earth in opposition to the modern ideal of 'development' prized by multinational corporations, neo-liberal financial institutions and many national governments. She cites examples of 'eco-systems peoples', who challenge the economic doctrines that nature is an object to be exploited and natural resources are commodities to be bartered, and proceeds to argue for a global ethic of care for the earth, an ethic of resistance that shows appreciation for both social and ecological concerns related to the integrity of God's creation.

Description: Shamanism, Racism and Hip Hop Culture is a groundbreaking collection of essays exploring the five-hundred year history of white Christian hegemony that has so profoundly shaped American society. James W. Perkinson explores the idea that American identity and history are profoundly informed by an on-going interweaving of white entitlement and black disenfranchisement that constrains other forms of cultural struggle.

Description: During and following WW II, there were several Catholic left wing organizations in Italy,France and Belgium. The term 'left' refers to individual and collective attitudes and concepts which did not seem compatible with Catholic traditions. There were Catholic pleas for social and economic reforms changing the balance between capital and labor. This is the first book to deal with the phenomenon from a comparative and transnational perspective.
