Details: Trible provides some excellent insight into women's roles in the history of the three big religious traditions - Judaism, Christianity, and Islam; it's a good read, pretty quick, and opens your eyes to the huge role gender plays in the biblical narratives, even though gender tends to be downplayed by the Christian church and arguably even the biblical accounts themselves. |
