Review Summary: A Friendly dialogue between an athiest and a christian Date: 2008-10-06

Details: An easy read with mind opening points. It's great to see how two knowledgeable people can discuss a hot issue with great respect for each other's perspectives and not get into a heated debate.

Review Summary: It really is a Friendly Dialogue Date: 2008-07-23

Details: I just finished reading A Friendly Dialogue earlier today. I was absolutely astounded by the words of Palau and Zhao. As a Christian, I was able to really appreciate the depth of Palau's knowledge of Christian Theology. But I was even more affected by the athiest physicist, Zhao Qizheng, and everything he had to say. I have never really paid attention before. This book is a brilliant start to what this world probably needs most: dialogue between peoples of different beliefs. Originally to be called "A Confrontation between an Athiest and a Christian", the renamed "Friendly Dialogue" is a much more apt title for one of the most interresting and informative conversations I've read.

This truly is a must read for Christians, Athiest, Chinese, Americans, and anyone interrested in opening the doors for communication.

Review Summary: Finally, a refreshing dialogue... Date: 2008-06-27

Details: between two mature and well educated men. We will not all agree on the existance of man or our purpose in life BUT, we do all need to live in the same world. I think we should take these two men's example. Instead of trying to get our own points of view heard, let's start listening... then we will be able to really have an open, honest, respectful dialogue. Quick, easy and thought provoking read!

Review Summary: Great Read for Olympic Prep! Date: 2008-06-27

Details: I picked up this book as an American aware of who Luis Palau is, but not having heard of coauthor Zhao Qizheng. I wanted to read up on Chinese culture a bit since the Olympics are coming up in August.

I am pleasantly surprised by the breadth of subjects they discuss. From creation to "religion and the spirit" to "Chinese and Western cultures and philosophy" to science and social harmony.

I enjoy their differences in perspective. Their insights are quite thought-provoking. Well worth the read! I wish everyone with different - even opposing - views could interact this way. (I also feel more aware of Chinese culture and thought now as I try to score my ticket to the Olympics ...)

Review Summary: Decency - at last! Date: 2008-06-27

Details: So I seriously don't get the pictures in this book. But it is nice to finally read a book where the people have totally different view points - yet respect each other. We could all learn a little something from these guys...
