Ranchera in The Music Store

The king of ranchero music’s album cover isn’t the best portrayal of the great work you’ll find inside this 12-track disc, with songs written by Joan Sebastian for the Don Chente. From the tragic "La Derrota," the optimistic "Niña Hechicera" (with more of a pop arrangement), and, of course, the memorable "Para Siempre," the theme song from the Mexican soap Fuego en la Sangre, Fernández sings with such conviction that it’s hard not to consider this one of his best albums yet. --Ernesto Sánchez (People en Español )

What happened to Los Temerarios? If you were a fan of the popular music that carried this group to fame with hits like Te Quiero or Sólo te quiero a ti, you will surely be surprised to Hear this CD. The sound that characterized the group, with electronic drums and keyboards, is no longer at the height of the aspirations of Adolfo and Gustavo Ángel. Fine, but the sad part is that in their attempt to produce an album to compete with the very best, Los Temerarios lost their identity. Si tú te vas sounds exactly like the ballads of Luis Miguel or of any other pop artist. It’s a fact that we have lost this popular group. Today, Los Temerarios pretend to tread the paths of pop music and, though the CD has been impeccably produced, it has no personality. --Ernesto Sánchez (People en Español )

¿Qué le pasó a Los Temerarios? Si eras fan de la música popular característica del grupo que se hizo famoso por éxitos como Te Quiero o Sólo te quiero a ti seguro te llevarás una sorpresa al escuchar este disco. Parece que el sonido que caracterizaba al grupo con batería electrónica y el sonido de teclados ya no está a la altura de las aspiraciones de Adolfo Ángel y Gustavo Ángel, lo cual es perfectamente válido. Lo triste es que en su intento por entregar una producción a la altura de los mejores, Los Temerarios perdieron su identidad. El sonido de Si tú te vas es exactamente igual al de las baladas de Luis Miguel, o de cualquier artista pop. Es un hecho que hemos perdido al grupo popular, hoy Los Temerario pretenden navegar en las aguas de la música pop y aunque el disco cuenta con una producción comparable a la del mejor, no tiene personalidad. --Ernesto Sánchez (People en Español )
