Typically, enzymes in your intestines break down fat from food so your body can absorb the fat. But the active ingredient in alli attaches to some of these enzymes and prevents them from digesting about a quarter of the fat you eat. Because undigested fat can't be absorbed, it passes out of your body instead of turning into calories.
The main side effect occurs when you eat a meal with too much fat while taking alli. If so much fat is blocked that your stool can't absorb it, you might have side effects. Details: 10 months ago I started a weight loss competition with a large group of friends. My "secret weapon" was Alli - in addition to a healthy diet and lots of exercise. A few months later, I was the winner at 49lbs lost!
But I kept going, because I had momentum. After a few more months, I was down 80lbs from my starting weight. Over the last 3 months, I've held my weight steady before continuing to lose more. And unlike most of the people in our weight loss competition, I haven't put any weight weight back on because I continue to avoid junk food and I continue to take Alli after eating out or having a not-as-good-for-me meal.
In nearly a year of taking Alli, I haven't had any "technical difficulties" with my digestive system, although I wouldn't doubt that some people with more sensitive systems might, because unlike most of the "snake oil" weight-loss products out there, this one actually works.
Am I satisfied with Alli? I would say "heck yeah!" 80lbs in 6 months earns an automatic 5-star rating. Keeping that weight off another 4 months earns it a 6th star! |

Details: I had the raw version which was much more potent and it helped me lose the weight. However it came with a a hefty price tag so I couldn't afford it. Alli works but not as effective and after a while it'll stop working. I won't be buying this product again. |

Details: I am very happy this product was launched onto the market. I started to take it last year even though the there were very scary customer reviews on Amazon. I do have to say this requires planning and you need to be prepared to pay the consequences if you eat oily food :) The end results are what matters. With a healthy diet, exercise and a little kick from these little blue pills I am a happier person! |
