Details: I listened to the first three books in this series when I was younger (my uncle was pretty high up in the publishing company and had me listen to them for a beta-test, I think .. and then sent us the first three for Christmas), and I loved them.
They're really interesting, with a definite dash of whimsy and with bizarre twists and foreshadowing that make you anxiously await further installments.
