Details: Lindbergh rejected a ghost written life story and account of his flight. Committed to a book soon after his New York to Paris flight and feeling obligated he wrote quickly and did not re-write or edit. While many of of the tales in WE are repeated in The Spirit of St. Louis, there is a feeling of spontaneity and freshness in WE that is not present in the later, more formal book.
