Description: In a culture that promotes isolation and autonomy, this book reveals life-changing methods for creating healthy relationships and authentic community. Readers learn to apply New Testament principles that capture the essence of Jesus' teachings about effectively caring, serving, and loving one another. Beginning with God's simple command to "Love one another," this book shows how to: * develop deep, genuine friendships * model to others a relationship with Jesus * create meaningful interaction with strangers * avoid the pitfalls of judging others * show people love, acceptance, kindness, and respect Complete with discussion questions, this book is appropriate for both individuals and church groups. It is a must for all Christians who wish to practice being the church rather than merely attending one.

Review Summary: Powerful Book! Date: 2008-10-18

Details: If you are one who is seeking to have deep and intimate relationships with others in the body of Christ, this book is for you! Although spiritually deep, it is easy reading that leaves you changed into the image of Christ. There is no condemnation and this book is not about guilt trips. It is just pure truth held out in a loving way that draws your heart into being available to others who have been adopted into God's family! I would recommend this book highly to everyone. It would be an excellent Bible study for youth! The book has small group study questions that search your heart and beckon you to enter into the truths that are being presented. This one is a winner!

Review Summary: Wonderful book Date: 2008-09-17

Details: This book is full of insight and has helped me a lot. Many of the thoughts are not original or new (there is nothing new under the sun) but have been put together in a way that just gels for me. I have heard and read these things many times, but now they have sunk in, and make sense, finally. Excellent writing. Starts with crucial foundations of accepting God's love and progressively builds from there. Can't say enough good about this book. Will read it over and over again.

Review Summary: Wonderfully enlightening! Date: 2008-04-23

Details: My husband and I chose to read this book together and have really enjoyed it. It explains the practicality of one anothering each other in every relationship type -- marriage, family and friends (both old and new!).

Review Summary: Authentic relationships Date: 2007-10-17

Details: This is more than a book-it is (hopefully) a way of life, one that I am certainly desiring. Our Pastor has agreed to use this material as a basis to begin our home fellowship groups which is exciting to me. The subjects have been well thought out and applied and it is part of "the progression" of our christian walk that is a necessary ingredient.

Review Summary: Authentic Relationships: Discover the Lost Art of One Anothering Date: 2006-11-09

Details: This is one of the best books on relationship development from a biblical point of view. Very practical and simple; not another list of "to dos." Our small group is loving this book.
