Description: Blasphemy! Heresy! Who does this man think he is, claiming to speak directly to God?! Jesus did it, Muhammad did it, the Jewish prophets did it, but none of their Gods had the sardonic wit or raw verve of Prophet Walsch's God. Neale Donald Walsch isn't claiming to be the Messiah of a new religion, just a frustrated man who sat down one day with pen in his hand and some tough questions in his heart. As he wrote his questions to God, he realized that God was answering them... directly... through Walsch's pen. The result, far from the apocalyptic predictions or cultic eccentricities you might expect, turns out to be matter-fact, in-your-face wisdom on how to get by in life while remaining true to yourself and your spirituality.

Review Summary: Answers that our world "wants" to hear...not the Truth! Date: 2008-11-18

Details: The issue I have with this author is the obvious intent to deceive the potential readers into thinking this is based on Christian beliefs. And with young target audiences, it is very scary. This book is another "new age" individual belief system that is deceptively titled Conversations with God. It seems to support man's selfish viewpoint of tell me what I want to hear, rather than what is right. Living a life based on long-standing, steadfast beliefs is not easy in todays me-me-me world. This book is too accepting of any and all behavior and actually states there is no sin! While over 35,000 Christian religions have sprouted over the last 500 years, they have mostly been based on someone's interpretation of the Christian foundation of the Bible. Many of the "answers" provided in the book are totally opposite of what our Christian God teaches to be true. The title should at least be conversations with my god.

Review Summary: Life-Changing Book! Date: 2008-11-11

Details: I picked this book up when I was in the middle of a conflict of the mind. I needed some guidance beyond family, friends and even religion. I learned to listen to my hidden feelings, which is my truth, to help me solve my own problems. I did not need to seek outside counsel. I knew in my heart, what my truth was.

I was reminded not to judge, and this gave me the freedom to keep going, without getting in my own way. I was left to make my own decisions, using the freedom of my own mind, and I was able to solve my life's most difficult problem, using this book.

My fears were stripped down to the bare truth, and without judgement, I was able to move past them, towards a better and more fulfilling life.

What can I say, except, that this book, changed the course of my life forever!

Review Summary: Someone is talking to him, that's for sure Date: 2008-11-07

Details: There is no doubt that someone is talking to this author, but it is not God. God does not contradict Himself. It's important to judge everything against the bible. If the content contradicts the bible--which this book does--there is something VERY wrong with it. Don't allow yourself to become confused by this author. Read your bible. Think critically.

Review Summary: Very Interesting Book Date: 2008-11-06

Details: I know some of you are not religious but for those of you who are Imagine being able to ask god any question you want and he would answer back. "Conversations with God" by Neal Donald is about the conversations Neal Donald had with god. Neal was a men who went through a lot of struggles in his life including being a homeless man and searching round trash cans for food. One day he started writing his thoughts down and questions and as soon as he was done getting ready to toes his pen aside hes hand stayed posed as if he had another idea and up came; "Do you really want the answers to these questions or are you just venting?" and from there on god started talking to him and answering his questions he was told by god to make a book out of that...some people don't believe this is real but when i read it, it all fits and it all makes since and according to the book its a real life story.
There is also a movie of how the book came about and its a lot more interesting then the book and its funny at the same time I learned a lot from the book and it made me a better person. I am looking forward to reading the rest of his books.

Review Summary: What I Saw In This Book Date: 2008-11-03

Details: Well first of all, God has already inspired a book for us 2000 years ago, called the Bible which was written and dictated in the hearts of man. God didn't speak to anyone audibly, nor did he push a mans pen across a page like satan did in this book using a deceived author.

This book has many satanic elements and tones. If the author really heard from God, it certainly wasn't the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. It's funny how satan wants to be God so bad that he literally manifested himself as God in this book. He clearly attempts to influence the masses of unaware people by flip flopping around the bible and twisting scriptures to make them mean what will lure people away from the truth. The book is full of contradictions and many things taken out of context.

Would God tell us that there is no sin? when in fact he sent his son to die to save us from it? Would God use man to write a book that clearly speaks against his own word in another book? Ah, the answer would be "NO".

It is obvious that this author has probably never seen the inside of a bible and is not grounded in the truth of Gods word, because if he was he would have known that the voices he heard couldnt have been that of God.

This book is a fine example of the New Age doctrine that is now deceiving millions and an even greater example as to why we need to be grounded in the Word of God.

Whats even more obvious to me is that in the book, satan jumps around so much that it literally confuses people. He never makes a clear point using one sentence, which will confuse most people and keep them from noticing his deceptive acrobatics.

When the book indicated that we shouldnt be reading the bible, thats when I tossed it in the garbage, where it belongs. People be careful, get grounded in the Word of God. Don't go on other peoples experiences or take thier word for it. Get your own revelation from God, his inspired Word and pray that his spirit will reveal the truth and just be open for it and receptive.
