Review Summary: Good Case Study Discussion for Ministry Workers
Date: 2001-06-20
Details: Mahan's book is a basic discussion and outline for ministry workers trying to discuss case studies in their work. Mahan gives a good step by step process for those presenting, facilitating, and critiquing each other in ministry case studies.
I used this book and the process in a doctoral level class and we found it to be helpful--more helpful than discussing our various cases.
Review Summary: Very helpful process
Date: 2000-06-01
Details: Helping others (layfolks, seminarians, etc) reflect theologically on the ordinary events of life can be a daunting challenge. This book offers a very clear process for helping groups focus their conversation. I have been using this book with Divinity students for several years and find it really practical and successful. It offers a way to open up the conversation and get quickly to a deeper level.
