Description: Authors Alan Sears and Craig Osten expose the goals of the homosexual movement and its rising legal activism. The homosexual agenda has as its primary aim to "trump" the rights of all other groups, especially those of people of faith. The saddest part of the story is that it is working.

Review Summary: A Call to Arms Date: 2006-10-19

Details: (3.5 stars actually, rounded up) As noted by others, responses to this book are typically polarized: either supportive if one is Christian and alarmed at this 'agenda,' or homosexual-supportive and insist the book presents 'bigotry, lies and hate-speech.' If a balanced review of this item is possible, I will attempt a concise one here.

Despite claims to the contrary, the text is well documented and supported with primary references. A logical presentation and structure exists in the text. Progression from educational situations (primary through tertiary), noting efforts at indoctrination with pro-homosexual dogma, to larger societal impacts is demonstrated. Ramifications cited include familial (redefinition of the family, inciting parental value rejection), entertainment (venues' biased homosexual portrayals), ecclesiastical (determined intolerance of `intolerant' Christianity), corporate (benefits for non-amorous housemates), and government / academic subsidization (funding for pro-homosexual programmes).

However, some events cited in the text are clearly utilised to inflame the reader and are not necessarily directly relevant. Examples of pedophiles preying on children due to homosexual 'liberation' is a blatant attempt to rouse sympathy for the 'cause.' The possible connection between homosexuality and pedophilia is somewhat beyond the scope of the book, yet is included presumably for dramatic effect.

Moreover, as with any text, we receive a rather biased presentation of items. Notably, the conversion of pre-homosexuals into non-homosexual behaviour is presented without mention of the questionable organisations involved.

Although authored by leaders of the Alliance Defense Fund, a Christian legal group, surprisingly no overt effort to solicit funds is made. Yet, obviously they intend to position themselves center-stage in the `agenda' resistance, and if the inflammatory tactics succeed, their website is available.

Despite these difficulties, the crux of the book is indisputable: biblical Christianity is under siege. Examples of Christians threatened by homosexual activists ("during that time [of legal battles] his family received death threats, had their residence firebombed") for holding to their beliefs ("the church's problem is that it defends biblical moralism by actually calling sinners to repentance") are abundant and referenced. The keystone to the entire book is summarised here:

"[as regards] the struggle between homosexual behavior and religious freedom. The two are incompatible. The goal of the radical homosexual activists is to make sure that no church can say that homosexual behavior is sinful."

The Homosexual Agenda as described is simply: silence or redefine the biblical Christian Church. This book is a call to arms for the Christian faithful. Modern America is being manipulated by a propaganda machine as detailed in the Homosexual Agenda Manifesto, "After the Ball" by Kirk and Madsen (available here at amazon). Such a machine is quite reminiscent of other historical social engineering, too disturbing perhaps for mention here. Ironically, the indoctrination and legislative enshrinement of this Agenda possesses the hallmarks of Aldous Huxley's "Brave New World." Yet, he would probably disagree with destroying the freedom to stand for one's beliefs, something he held so dear in his lesser known work, "Eyeless in Gaza."

Review Summary: Truth needs to be heard Date: 2006-09-06

Details: This book deserves a wide hearing. While all homosexuals deserve to be treated fairly and with respect, societies have a right and an obligation to consider whether they allow the homosexual lifestyle to be embraced and normalised on a large scale. Most societies have recognised the public health risks of the homosexual lifestyle, and have chosen to carefully allow some tolerance while not fully endorsing the homosexual agenda.

That is quickly changing however. This new volume shows how much of the radical homosexual agenda is being pushed onto society, and how little resistance is forthcoming.

The authors make it quite clear that a determined, active and very vocal homosexual lobby is making great gains in pushing their agenda on the rest of society. The main aim of the lobby is to ensure that the homosexual lifestyle is accepted, normalised and approved of by the surrounding culture.

And they have been quite successful in this. On a number of fronts, many of their goals and objectives have been realised.

Corporations, for example, pour millions of dollars into the coffers of homosexual activist groups. Many large American corporations also require workers to embrace homosexuality in the name of tolerance and anti-discrimination policies. Mandatory courses on "diversity training" and "sexual-orientation" are offered at many major corporations. Workers who refuse to participate in these indoctrination and propaganda sessions often lose their jobs or find themselves blocked in career advancement.

Corporations seek to placate the homosexual minorities in other ways. For example, 31 per cent of Fortune 500 companies offer "domestic-partner" benefits to homosexual workers. The line between family and non-family relationships continues to be blurred. In these and other ways corporate America is pushing the homosexual agenda on its workers. The authors of this book document how many employees who object to having homosexuality forced upon them are either intimidated in the workplace or fired from their jobs.

Schools have also been heavily targeted by the homosexual activists. Not just colleges or high schools, but elementary schools especially. This book documents how the school system has become a recruiting ground for homosexuals, and shows how gay propaganda courses are finding their way into the nation's schools. Also documented are cases of school children being harassed and intimidated if they do not embrace the homosexual indoctrination.

The National Education Association, for example, has mandated that pro-homosexual courses and materials be provided in schools, beginning in kindergarten. The message delivered is that sexual orientation is fluid, not fixed, and young people are encouraged to "explore their sexuality". Ironically, however, the NEA insists that students be told that "once gay, always gay". Moreover, it tells students that only "intolerant religions" oppose homosexual behaviour.

The churches too have been a special object of attention by the gay lobby. And many have already capitulated. The authors show how many churches already have fallen victim to the revisionist theology promoted by the homosexual lobby. And churches that oppose the gay agenda are increasingly becoming the target of ugly and violent homosexual protests and attacks.

Many Americans are losing their religious liberty because of the various anti-discrimination and equal opportunity laws being passed to placate the homosexual lobby. Thus the subtitle of the book: "Exposing the Principal Threat to Religious Freedom Today". The authors show how the real aim of many homosexual activists is to silence Bible-believing Christians altogether.

The authors encourage all those concerned about liberty to resist the new intolerance being promoted by the homosexual activists. If not, pro-faith and pro-family Americans will find themselves increasingly at risk of facing fines and jail terms just for standing up for what their consciences dictate.

This very real threat to religious liberty is of great importance. This book makes the case quite convincingly that our freedoms are at risk. Those concerned about faith and family need to read this book and pass it on to a friend. Unless we are as active in safeguarding our social and religious freedoms as the other side is in removing them, the future looks very bleak indeed.

Review Summary: Claptrap, to put it politely. Bigotry and lies, to tell the truth. Date: 2006-08-06

Details: I have a gay brother and sister, and they are exactly the same people now they were as small children -- except they've grown up to become a doctor and a respected business executive, each still with a partner they met over 30 years ago.

Their "agenda"? My sister: to heal the sick, and raise her son in an atmosphere that isn't poisonous with hate and bigotry. My brother: to lead an otherwise normal and happy life with his partner.

Sorry to spoil the horrible picture painted by the authors, but I've known both these gay people for over 50 years, and they're as normal as you and I -- but thank god, not like the authors of this book.

My brother and sister are NOT filled with hate, NOT trying to recruit followers with lies: just simply trying to lead good lives with their loved ones and their friends (gay and straight.)

And I've met pletny of their gay friends -- again, nobody with any agenda but to live a life as normal as possible, despite the hate-filled bigots waging a cultural war against them.

The only people with an agenda that I can discern, are like the authors of this book, trying to force their own distorted vision of religion on the rest of us normal human beings.

Review Summary: Hits The Nail Squarely On The Head Date: 2006-07-07

Details: Any book that riles the snot out of the perverts as much as this one does easily earns five stars. A welcome addition to the war chest in the ongoing battle to expose and squash the soul-killing Christian-hating agenda of these modern Romans. Even better, go straight to the horse's mouth and read the uber-sicko Paul E. Rondeau's manifesto entitled SELLING HOMOSEXUALITY TO AMERICA on how they plan to jam this corrupt and hellish idealogy down the thoats of your children. Then come back and re-read all the one-star reviews above to see where these twisted souls are really coming from.

Review Summary: Save your money and buy a study bible instead. Date: 2006-04-22

Details: As near as I can tell, the "Homosexual Agenda" is to

1- Be portrayed as ordinary citizens in the media, without their sexual preferences being definitive of villany or moral turpitude.
2- To not be discriminated against due to their religious beliefs (that homosexual behavior is not actually condemned in the bible.)
3- To freely associate, cavort and canoodle with those they prefer to do that with and
4- Practice their own family values without state interference.

These are all core Christian Right values.

What they do not demand, is the right to impose their lifestyle choices on anyone else, if for no other reason than being on average educated well enough to not say conspicuously stupid things in public,

And yes, it's a choice to publicly live the lifestyle, or any particular lifestyle. And it's your right to live your lifestyle without having some damn-fool come along and create artificial consequences for not living like Barbie and Ken in a black and white sanitized TV fantasy.

It's cool if you want that, go right ahead.

Gay rights are human rights. And I am human. What I do in private, with or without my wife is none of your business.

I support gay rights not because I am gay, but because I am fiercely dedicated to getting the blue nose of the camel OUT of my tent.

Now, I oppose hate crime laws on principle. On the other hand, I support the "fighting words doctrine." In other words, if you say something hateful in public that would cause a "reasonable person" to assault you, it's a consequence of your actions.

Such as, oh, say, picketing military funerals because the US military grudgingly accepts gays.

It would seem to me that confronting people in a time of grief and spewing such hatefulness might logically find one colliding with an armed citizen distraught enough to not care particularly about making the only intelligent retort.

So perhaps, just perhaps, criminalizing hate speech is a more civilized response to uncivilized behavior.

Those who hate "tolerance" and preach intolerance and behave intolerably cannot expect, much less demand more than simple tolerance. The agenda of the right is pretty much what they accuse gays of; the right to propagandize in classrooms, the right to legislate their morality and criminalize any behavior they find unpleasant, the right, ultimately, to rule. Google "Dominionism" if you wish to understand the very explicit agenda of such folks.

It is an agenda that no thoughtful, self-respecting Christian can approve of - whatever their views of homosexual behavior.

Were you to ask me about the homosexual subculture(s) and what I felt about some of the underlying ethics, I'd have a good deal to say, and much of it would be very critical. However, the things I'd be most critical about are also things that are in part a reaction to or a byproduct of oppression.

Personally, I don't care for it, so I don't do it. This seems fairly straightforward to me. How is this difficult for others?

Any moral code that requires artificial consequences to be followed is useless. Moral codes are supposed to allow us to avoid bad consequences. Creating arbitrary consequences for individual choices that might not have "bad enough" consequences, or have consequences - say pregnancy - that can be easily minimised simply devalues the moral code, causing it to be dismissed as useless.

As well it should be - if you go by the "moral" codes of Middle America. For any moral code that permits, much less encourages emotional abuse and manipulation, endorses telling lies to children in service of a Higher Cause, and requires the fostering of ignorance in order to avoid critical review is bankrupt; useless to the assured well-being of any individual.
