Details: This book is one I treasure above many others. I read it at least once yearly, whenever I am feeling alone in the world or a little too sorry for myself! It has truly changed my thinking, and my life as a result. I cannot recommend it highly enough! |

Details: I have read dozens, if not hundreds of spiritual living books / books about the Bible, and this is the best I have ever encountered. Fox just lays it out in simple and direct terms about God, our thoughts/actions, and living in harmony with life. My book is so underlined and dog-eared that I may have to order another! |

Details: First, buy and read this book. I had a spiritual experience reading this book and it's because it reveals the truth. And the truth, as you've heard, will set you free. This book explains why and how.
I was skeptical at first, and having been raised Catholic I was afraid of God and wanted no part of Jesus. Emmit Fox opens the book by telling us that it doesn't matter what your opinion of Jesus is - whether the son of God, or a well meaning fanatic who came to grief, what is important is to read and understand what he said. And this is contained in his Sermon on the Mount.
I could go on and on about this book, but the bottom line is that there is spiritual truth and power on every page. This book WILL change your life, and for the better as well. You're in for a real treat!

Details: This book was given to me to read by a friend who was concerned about my mental and spiritual health. He told me that it changed his life and he knew it would change mine. I had little faith in the book since I had little faith in anything, but for some reason I believed my friend. I read the book and it did change my life! I have since bought all of Fox's books. I was brought up in a religeous culture that caused me more damage than it helped me. Fox explains the Bible and Christ's Sermon on the Mount in a way that has truly opened my eyes and my heart. Fox details principles that I can wrap my mind around and believe in. Sermon on the Mount and my friend are true gifts from God. There are no accidents. This book is a must read for anyone who yearns to find the spiritual path. |
