Details: I'm glad I've finally purchased and read this book, negative comments notwithstanding.
Reviewer Jonathan Kern correctly notes that its opening chapters dragged. But like him I found completing Corsi's book illuminating. Thanks to Mr. Kern, I needn't expend much energy reviewing FactCheck.org's supposed fact checking. He's correct: they did a rotten job, and the errors they found were indeed minor.
Okay, so Barack Obama can't claim to be a Kenyan citizen (p. 103), since Kenya prohibits dual citizenship for anyone over 21. Big deal. Okay, so Obama's father was not a "Kenyan citizen" when he was born, as Kenya won independence only in December 1963, "when Obama was 2 years old." Ditto.
Yet, the book is sufficiently accurate to threaten Kenya's corrupt government, which arrested Corsi without charge when he traveled there recently to promote it. Naturally, Obama didn't care.
Corsi notes that Obama himself traveled to Kenya and lent critical support (inadvertently or not) to fellow Luo tribesman, Islamist ally and socialist Raila Odinga, who opposed the December 2007 election results. Yet Obama said little when Odinga's protests triggered riots by the Luo and his Muslim allies against Kenya's ruling Kikuyu people and 90% majority Christians, of whom hundreds were subsequently murdered in their homes and burned alive in churches. Odinga now shares power with Kikuyu President Kibaki in a government to which the former was not elected.
I might have wanted less on Obama's family background, and more on his deeds, but could care less about why Corsi included the content he did---so long as it is accurate. And Corsi very well documents Obama's personal historical associations, and comments made by his former friends and family. Significantly, these facts are not questioned.
In every past presidential election, the press has more or less carefully examined candidates' early life, associations, deeds, writings, statements and so on. Strangely, Obama has largely escaped this scrutiny from either broadcast or print media and periodicals---save those smeared as "conservative." In short, the major media have committed mass dereliction of professionalism and public duty. No doubt, Thomas Paine is churning in his grave.
That's why the public desperately needs this book, which I recommend, despite some faults, to all U.S. voters. Reports of Obama's past should be known, not dismissed as false rumor, when they're largely accurate.
I wish the book included details on Obama's relationship with Saudi businessman Khalid al-Mansour, who reportedly helped advance his application and acceptance at Harvard.
But it raises lots of other good questions, like those one "conservative" columnist rhetorically asked before the Oct. 16 presidential debate:
How old was Obama when he learned of the numerous bombings orchestrated by Weather Underground terrorist William Ayers when Barry was only eight and why, exactly, did he nevertheless associate with Ayers for many years on many projects---and pretend Ayers was "just a guy in my neighborhood"?
Didn't Ayers and his Charles Manson celebrating wife usher Obama into politics at a private home party for Chicago bigwigs?
Did Barack Obama attend "Black Value System" indoctrination courses required of all other congregants after joining Rev. Jeremiah Wright's racist Chicago Trinity church for 20 years?
How much did Obama receive from Antonin Rezko, his corporation and Nahdmi Auchi, his Iraqi best arms-dealing buddy?
Did Obama know Wright's sermons closely resembled those of bona fide anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan?
In 2006, what "fact finding" advantage fell to Illinois voters from Obama's visit to Kenya's Odinga, again?
Why did Barack Obama support learn, practice and teach agitating tactics of communist Saul Alinsky?
Too many voters dogmatically refuse to read (much less genuinely consider questions raised by) any publication labeled "conservative," despite the currently meaningless, destructive nature of the term.
Let's recall, the "conservative" appointees lost the U.S. Supreme Court case when the bench's "liberal" majority legitimized seizure of private property by eminent domain to benefit commercial corporate development. Surely, whatever else liberty and pursuit of happiness might be, they include the right to own personal property, barring criminal and moral decrepitude, and protect it from government seizure.
The election has not yet occurred, October 16 debate night polls not withstanding, and voters can still do themselves and the U.S. a favor by reading Obama Nation. |

Details: This is an excellent book!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The research seems to be quite extensive in that Dr Corsi included over 650 footnotes which indicate actual accounts of Mr. Obama's actions!!!! It is a certainty that the public will never get to know Barack Obama given the apparent disinterest of the mainstream media!!!!!!!!!!!! I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in making an educated choice for the next President of the United States!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Details: In contrast to what the people who have never read this book, I not only read this book but personally looked up each source to verify that I was not being fooled.
Let me start by saying that that this book has over 36 pages of footnotes and source material to back up each FACT that Corsi reviews.
And to those saying that Corsi has an agenda against for the Republicans, that is untrue. Let me remind you that he also wrote, The Late Great USA, which is a specific attack on President Bush and his administration. He is also the author of several other books, including "Unfit for Command: Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry" (along with John O'Neill), "Black Gold Stranglehold: The Myth of Scarcity and the Politics of Oil" (along with Craig R. Smith), "Atomic Iran: How the Terrorist Regime Bought the Bomb and American Politicians," and most recently, "Minutemen: The Battle to Secure America's Borders."
He is one of the most independent thinkers and writers available on these issues today. While he is clear that he not only mistrusts and fears an Obama Presidentcy, he also not voting or supporting McCain.
In Obama Nation He looks at Barack Obama's history, according to what Obama has told us in his to memoirs compared against the facts. He points out that Obama's current rhetoric is hardly in keeping with his rather questionable past. Many of the details, specifically those involving race can not be proved. He claims a bitterness and anger for being black, yet those closest to him explain that he never even brought up race in his teenage years. While it is clear that he was struggling with the abandonment of both his mother and father, race was not an issue he discussed,with his friends, though it is his basis for both his books.
He points out that in both of Obama's books he avoids the ACTUAL facts in favor of what he casually remembers, or made up, but whne researched his memories do not stand up to facts. Specifically pieces that Obama would like to change, like the fact that he was in Public, Islamic school in Indonesia for 4 1/2 years, Obama says 2 to 3 years. There he was enrolled as a MUSLIM, for all 4 years and the teaching of Islam are taught for over 20% of the classroom time.
Now, let me be clear, I do not think he is currently a Muslim, or has personally reflected these beliefs, HOWEVER, his lies and cover ups regarding this makes it an issue. If he disagreed with these teaching it would serve him better to say that, than to claim he was not exposed to them.
I appreciate this book, because it did what the Bias media refuses to do. While they have vicisouly attacked Sarah Palin on personal and sexist issues, not political or policy related issues, they DID not vet or attack Obama, but rather defended and cheered him on. Why didn't they send hordes of reporters to the places where he lived, the schools he attended and investigate his friends and mentors?
Corsi depicts, in great detail, a man with an arrogant and deeply flawed psyche, suspicious associations and tutelage under known Marxists, Socialist and anti-American figures. Yet with all these flaws each issue has been skillfully handled or avoided by his liberal image master, and campaign chairman, David Axelrod. All of his inexperience, decisions and associations has been ignored by this masterful show that hangs by the cult of personality. In so doing making our nation a spectacle and showing that his loyal, but misinformed supporters will back any liberal without question.
I think this is an important book for all to read, so that you can check the facts and decided for yourself.
Let me end by saying I am happy to debate, but I will not responded to Obama supporters who are talking about this book without having read it...

Details: For all Americans who have not decided on who should be our next President, this book is a real eye opener. I further researched many of the footnotes and found them to be 100% dead on. Obama is portrayed as a socialist and his ideas for America would tend to be anti-constitutional. Karl Marx would be proud of him and Thomas Jefferson would be insulted. |

Review Summary: Corsi never served in the military, but he's a hero nonetheless |

Details: Corsi co-authored the best-selling Swiftboat Veterans Book and is also a former Presidential candidate for the Constitution Party. Even though the Constitution Party is widely recognized as a cultish group of whackos, he was still a Presidential Candidate nonetheless, so there is no reason to doubt anything he says. Although he never served in the U.S. military and appears to have had no desire at any time in his entire life to ever serve his beloved country, his contributions to the Swiftboat book more than makes up for all of that. He is a true American hero.
He has a brilliant writing style that is to be expected of a Harvard Ph.D. In his popular New Republic posts, he repeatedly referred to Chelsea Clinton as Chubby Chelsea and Janet Reno as Janet Rhino which proves he's a literary genius of the highest order. Some critics have noted that Janet Reno was tall, but not fat or large in the way that a Rhino is, so the Janet Rhino joke is not clever, and in fact is pretty stupid. But I disagree. I found the Janet Rhino line especially brilliant because, you see, Rhino sounds so much like Reno.
Corsi makes it clear that if Obama is elected, then we will have a radical liberal in the White House who could very possibly extend abortion rights into the 20th or 30th year of fetal development. Thank you Mr. Corsi, even though you have never had any interest in serving in the military in your whole life, for the wonderful service you are now providing by exposing these liberal presidential candidates for the evil-doers that they are, before they destroy this country. Thank you for ensuring that the real war heroes like Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Feith, Wolfowitz, ended up in the White House. You are a journalist and intellectual of the highest order. |
