Review Summary: Adobe Photoshop CS3

Details: Classroom in a book is an excellent book to learn how to use Photoshop. I've used other Classroom in a book products and they are a great way to self educate yourself.
Review Summary: Good but could be better
Date: 2008-11-26
Details: My college class uses this book.
The instructions, overall are good, but the tool icons are way too small to identify easily .
Some instructions will tell you to close such a tool out of the blue, but the instruction to open it was never given in the first place. Trying to see what the instruction was all about, one looks for that tool, in vain. The index was no help. Had to ask/email my instructor for help.
Review Summary: More comprehensive than the "Dummies" books.

Details: Adobe has done a very good job with their "Classroom in a Book" series. I purchased The "Dummies" book when I first started learning Photoshop 7. Then I took a college class that used the Adobe book (which is why I bought this book for CS3). Adobes' book covers EVERYTHING you can do with Photoshop, albeit briefly. Just follow the book and you will at least touch on everything the software can do. I recommend it highly.
