Details: This is an excellent case the for Nintendo DS Lite. I got two of them, one for each of my kids. The case is rigid, and looks to be very capable of protecting the DS. My son has dropped his several times, and there has been no damage to the DS. It has a net area (like one finds in the trunk of some cars) that holds about 4 DS cartridges inside the lid of the case. The DS fits snugly. There is a handy carabineer that can be used to attach the case to a backpack or belt loop.
There are two problems with the case.
The first one is that the strap on my son's case separated immediately. The strap is made of fairly soft plastic, and what happened was that it stretched and allowed it to fall off of the metal part holding it to the case - so one side parted and the strap was useless. I put the strap back on, but the first time it was used it came off again. I just removed it altogether.
The second problem is that the "net" area is somewhat loose, and you have to be careful to make sure the DS cartridges don't fall out when opening and closing the case.
Despite these drawbacks, I rate the case as 5 stars - it is such a great design for protecting the DS.

Details: My wife and I really like this case. It's a hard-shell case. We bought it for our daughter and it is holding up really well. We had wished we had bought this for the other systems that we have. I would highly recommend this product. The delivery was also quick also.
