Details: I lost my original blackberry pearl headset & replaced it with these. Maybe they are the original OEM part - I can't tell a difference.
Pros:
- I love the stereo sound - I like the voices in my head these help provide.
- Pretty good Mic - don't get many complaints of wind or cutout as I've had with other sets.
- It is just like the original part (it either is the original or is a great cheap knockoff).
- Price - saved over twenty bucks from brick & mortar options that weren't nearly as good or didn't have stereo.
- I find myself using this instead of my v1 Jawbone.
Cons:
- Just like my original set, one of the foam earpiece covers is missing after several weeks of being put in & out of pockets. The Right ear falls out sometimes as a result.
- Cord Management - an issue with any design like this. I have these little rubber cord-wrap cores that help, but are almost too much trouble. The cord on these is quite long.
- Be aware that this is for an extra-mini headset plug (original BB Pearl 8100, not the newer Pearls 81xx I think) - it's smaller than the normal 3.5mm plug anyway (may also have the 3 channel plug parts mapped differently than is normal, not sure).
If you want a spare or replacement that is just like the original boxed BB Pearl headset, this is it. 5 stars as a 1:1 replacement for the original part, 4 stars overall as a headset.

Details: I received a defective headset! It did not fit in the blackberry Jack and the head phone ear pieces were differnt lenghts! Will never order this way again. Thought I was saving $$ but paid more for shipping than the device.

Details: These headphones work perfectly with the Blackberry 8830. Stero comes in loud and clear and the mute button when a call comes in works well. You can clearly hear the call and the caller can hear you. For the price, try them, you can't go wrong. Don't bother buying a 3.5to 2.5 headphone adaptor, it won't work. Buy these stereo headphones.
